A brother and sister died following a murder-suicide Wednesday morning at a home in Camden County, New Jersey, officials said.
Officers responded to the 4400 block of Bethel Avenue in Pennsauken at about 9:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, after receiving a report of a shooting, according to Camden County prosecutors.

Prosecutors said at that time, responding officers were also notified that a man armed with a handgun was inside the home.
When officers arrived at the scene, prosecutors said they found 59-year-old Janet Camacho of Pennsauken, shot on the front steps of the home. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died at 9:38 a.m.
Back at the home, prosecutors said members of the Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team responded to help. Then, around 10:37 a.m., officers entered the home and found a man, identified as the victim’s brother, Daniel Lopez, 60, of Pennsauken, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

SkyForce 10 flew over the scene, where several police officers could be seen surrounding the home, with some pointing guns toward the residence. A robotic dog was also seen being used by officers.
Several neighbors spoke with NBC10 and said they heard the gunshots.
“It was a bad feeling,” said Megan Hilbert, who lives nearby.
Neighbors also said they’ve known Lopez for years, and were in disbelief when they heard what happened.
“It was shocking. Very shocking,” said Dorothy Damico. “He was never a bad guy. He was always friendly. Always worried about everybody. Always helping everybody.”
Prosecutors said the investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
