Comment on Schefter: Porter Exploring Second Opinion On Back Injury Ahead Of Possible Week 3 Return by Chris
In reply to luke. Unfortunately for him, nothing he can do will pay him 100 million if he gets hurt. Steelers have control of him. They can force him to play out his rookie deal and 2 franchise tags. Those franchise tags aren't even guaranteed if he gets hurt. It sucks for him but that's the way it is. He could probably get a hundred million dollar insurance policy. He just wouldn't like the cost. The top college players do it every year. That would also give him another year to prove himself and get paid in the off-season. He should make a deal with the Steelers that he will play this year if they agree not to franchise him. Then he can take out insurance and go out and try to have a monster year so that he gets paid.
