A person was arrested following a grass fire in Santa Rosa on Thursday, police said.
The fire happened off of Highway 12, east of Fulton Road. Crews managed to put it out quickly.
Santa Rosa police say a fire department inspector noticed a man tossing away a lighter near the scene of the fire, along with soot on his body.
The person, who police say is homeless, faces arson and probation violation charges.
