A man accused of impregnating a 14-year-old girl who later gave birth in Miami-Dade has been arrested, records show.
Oscar Josue Silva Hernandez, 21, was arrested Friday on charges of lewd and lascivious battery and child abuse – impregnating a minor female, an arrest report said.
According to the report, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office investigators went to victim’s school in August 2025 after the teen said she’d been impregnated by the defendant, whose identity wasn’t known at that time.
On Feb. 28, she gave birth to the child.
On Friday, Silva Hernandez was at the teen’s home and identified by the teen and her mother as the father of the baby, the report said.
He made a confession that was redacted from the report before he was arrested and booked into jail.
Records showed he remained behind bars Monday on an immigration hold.
