Wilmington Police investigate three weekend shootings

Three separate shootings in Wilmington over the weekend left two men and one woman hospitalized, according to Wilmington Police.

Officers responded to the first shooting at about 9:52 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, along the 300 block of West 7th Street.

Police found a 32-year-old woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition, reported Wilmington Police.

About an hour later, at 10:46 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a second shooting in the 900 block of Vandever Avenue.

A 28-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said

The third shooting was reported at about 6:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, near Linden and South Van Buren Streets.

Police found a 52-year-old man with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, reported Wilmington Police.
