A man wielding an ax was arrested on Saturday morning at a rest stop in Wareham, Massachusetts, after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a vehicle.
State police said they received multiple 911 calls at 8:30 a.m. Saturday reporting a man with an ax on Route 195 east in the area of the Wareham rest stop. The man had allegedly assaulted a woman who was in a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Cruisers from several state police barracks responded and began searching for hte man. He was ultimately located and taken into custody in the area of Swifts Beach by Wareham police.
