Canter’s Deli is turning back the clock to celebrate 95 years in Los Angeles.
Customers can buy the deli’s signature hot pastrami sandwich for 95 cents during Monday’s one-night promotion. The anniversary special will be available from 6 p.m. to midnight for dine-in customers only.
The offer is limited to one sandwich per customer and includes a hot pastrami sandwich, cole slaw, a pickle and a chocolate chip rugelach. Customers may substitute Mrs. Goldfarb’s plant-based corned beef in place of the pastrami.
Founded in 1931, the Fairfax District restaurant has become one of Los Angeles’ best-known Jewish delicatessens. The restaurant is operated by the third and fourth generations of the Canter family.
