The New Castle County Police Department announced that they are investigating a shooting a shopping center in Newark on Monday.
The shooting happened in the afternoon of Aug. 3 at the Taylortown Shopping Center along Songsmith Drive in Newark, officials explained.
Residents are being urged to avoid the area as detectives work on the investigation.
SkyForce10 was over the scene where yellow police tape was blocking off the area around 8 p.m. with several police SUVs parked nearby.
Officials were seen outside of a restaurant called Tastee D’s.
Meanwhile, more officers were seen around a silver sedan as part of the investigation.
