Police are investigating after, officials said, a man was injured after a shooting erupted after a fight broke out during a party in Philly’s Brewerytown community early Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a person with a gun at a home along the 1500 block of North 30th Street at about 1:28 a.m. on Tuesday.
But, when first responders arrived, police said, they found no evidence of a shooting or a crime scene.
However, a short time later, officials said, an 18-year-old man arrived at a hospital in North Philadelphia, by private vehicle, after he had been shot in the shoulder.
This man, officials said, was hospitalized in stable condition.

Following an investigation into this incident, police said that investigators believe this victim was attending a party at a home in Brewerytown when a physical altercation between a group of women broke out.
During this conflict, officials said, an unknown gunman produced a firearm and fired one shot, striking the victim.
After the shooting, the gunman fled the area on foot, officials said.
Police described the suspected shooter involved in this incident as a man in his mid-20s, about five-foot, eight-inches tall, with a trimmed beard. At the time of the shooting, it is believed the gunman was wearing all black clothing, police said.
The exact location where the shooting occurred, officials said, was still unknown, officials said.
But, an investigation into this incident is underway.
