The average price for a gallon of gas in California jumped 19 cents in the past week to $6.08.
In San Francisco, the average gallon costs $6.23. In Oakland, it’s up to $6.13. In San Jose, the average is now $6.07.
The national average is up more than $1 a gallon compared to a year ago.
The war with Iran and uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz continue to be the main reasons for climbing prices.
