A man died following a shooting in Oakland on Friday, according to the police department.
Police said the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1500 block of Magnolia Street. Authorities said they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound, who died at the scene.
The police department said a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident, and the department’s Homicide Section is conducting a follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
