The FBI says the number of women who say they were tricked online by a man posing as a 49ers player has grown to 61.
Investigators are working to verify that the newly identified women are, in fact, victims of Daejon Love and Taylor Chan.
Love and Chan are charged with several crimes including wire fraud.
The FBI says Love posed as a 49ers player on dating apps to meet women online. He would then ask them for money for fake investments while Chan posed as his financial adviser, according to authorities.
The FBI is asking anyone with information about Love or Chan to contact the agency.
